Vivo X Fold 5 Could Launch Soon: Design, Specs, Camera, Display, and Everything We Know So Far

Vivo is all set to expand its foldable smartphone lineup with the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5. The company has teased the device via Chinese social media platform Weibo, sparking excitement with glimpses of its sleek design. Touted to be the thinnest and lightest foldable phone yet, the Vivo X Fold 5 may hit the Chinese market soon, although its India launch remains uncertain.

Design and Build

Vivo’s Product Manager Han Bo Xiao shared a 16-second teaser video, highlighting the ultra-slim profile of the Vivo X Fold 5. While the exact weight hasn’t been officially confirmed, leaks suggest the phone could weigh just 209 grams and measure 4.3mm when unfolded and 9.33mm when folded — slimmer and lighter than the Vivo X Fold 3 (219g) and competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (239g, 12.2mm folded) and Oppo Find N5 (229g, 4.21mm unfolded).

Expected Specifications

According to reports, the Vivo X Fold 5 may boast:

  • Main Display: 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED panel

  • Cover Display: 6.53-inch LTPO OLED screen

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

  • Memory: Up to 16GB RAM

  • Storage: 512GB internal storage

  • Cameras:

    • Rear: Triple 50MP camera setup

    • Front: Dual 32MP cameras (inner and outer screens)

  • Battery: Massive 6,000mAh battery

  • Charging: 90W wired and 30W wireless charging support

  • Additional Feature: A three-stage Alert Slider

Launch Timeline and Price (Expected)

Although Vivo has not confirmed the official launch date, industry insiders suggest the X Fold 5 could debut within the coming weeks in China. Pricing could be lower than the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, which was launched at CNY 9,999 (approx. ₹1,16,000) for the 16GB + 512GB variant.
