Likely to be slimmer than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, with major performance and software upgrades.
Samsung has officially started teasing the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7, giving us a glimpse of what could be its most refined foldable yet. In two teaser campaigns released so far, the company highlights the device’s ultra-slim design, calling it the “thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet.”
Although the teaser doesn’t reveal the complete look, the silhouette shared by Samsung does suggest a noticeably thinner profile compared to previous generations. This signals a major design shift for the foldable series.
Design and Build

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will retain its book-style folding mechanism, but with a much thinner body, pushing the boundaries of foldable engineering. While Samsung hasn’t disclosed the exact dimensions, it’s expected to outmatch the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which measures:
-
Closed: 6.04 x 2.68 x 0.48 inches
-
Open: 6.04 x 5.22 x 0.22 inches
In an accompanying blog post, Samsung noted that its engineers have worked tirelessly to make each generation thinner, lighter, and more durable, calling the Fold 7 a significant “milestone” in that evolution.
There’s also speculation around an ‘Ultra’ experience teased in earlier promos, though it’s still unclear whether this hints at a new variant or simply marketing language.
