OnePlus Nord 5 Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Android 15 Ahead of Launch

Key Highlights:

  • OnePlus Nord 5 could be priced around ₹30,000 in India

  • Listed on Geekbench with model number CPH2707

  • Expected to feature a larger battery and similar camera setup as the Nord 4

The OnePlus Nord 5 is generating buzz ahead of its anticipated launch on July 8th, with the latest development being its appearance on the benchmark platform Geekbench. Shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the listing reveals several important specifications of the upcoming mid-range smartphone.

Unlike its Chinese counterpart, the Indian variant of the OnePlus Nord 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset — a step up from the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 found in the Nord 4. Here’s a closer look at what we’ve learned so far.

OnePlus Nord 5 Geekbench Details

Nord 5

The device, listed under the model number CPH2707, is believed to be the Indian version of the Nord 5. The benchmark listing reveals:

  • Processor: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC

    • 1x Prime Core @ 3.01GHz

    • 4x Performance Cores @ 2.80GHz

    • 3x Efficiency Cores @ 2.02GHz

    • GPU: Adreno 735

This setup offers slightly better performance in both CPU and GPU tasks compared to its predecessor.

  • Software: Android 15 out-of-the-box

  • RAM: 12GB (additional variants expected at launch)

What Else Do We Know About the Nord 5?

Earlier leaks suggested that the Chinese version of the Nord 5 might come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset — the same processor seen in the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition. Some early reports even speculated the device could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra.

The Chinese variant, listed as CPH2709, has already received certifications from multiple global authorities including GCF (UK), TDRA (UAE), IMDA (Singapore), SIRIM (Malaysia), and TÜV Rheinland (Germany).

In terms of battery, the Nord 5 is expected to house a 6,650mAh battery with 100W fast charging — a notable upgrade from the 5,500mAh battery in the Nord 4. However, the charging speed remains the same.

Camera Setup

The camera setup is likely to remain unchanged:

  • Rear: Dual camera system – 50MP primary + 8MP secondary

  • Front: 16MP selfie camera

Should You Wait for the OnePlus Nord 5?

If you’re eyeing a mid-range smartphone with better performance, larger battery capacity, and future-proof software, the OnePlus Nord 5 could be worth the wait. It brings incremental yet meaningful upgrades over the Nord 4, especially in terms of processing power and battery life.

The OnePlus Nord 4 launched at ₹29,999, and its successor is expected to carry a similar price tag, making it a compelling option in the mid-range segment.
