HMD Fusion X1: A Teen-Safe Smartphone with Modular Design

HMD has officially launched the Fusion X1 globally, positioning it as a safety-focused smartphone designed especially for teens. Building on last year’s HMD Fusion, the new X1 is developed in collaboration with US-based Xplora, a brand known for its kid-friendly smartwatches and accessories.

The Fusion X1 stands out with its comprehensive parental controls and support for modular accessories through a customizable case system called Smart Outfits. These accessories enhance the phone’s usability by offering features like improved camera lighting, gaming controls, and extra battery life.

HMD Fusion X1 Price and Availability

  • The HMD Fusion X1 is priced at £229 (~Rs 26,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

  • It is available via Xplora’s website in select European markets including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and more.

  • Currently, the device is not available in India, and Xplora does not operate in the Indian market.
