With top-tier specs and a sleek design, the X Fold 5 is positioned as a premium foldable, likely to sit just below the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in the lineup. It’s also being touted as the slimmest foldable to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
While an official launch date hasn’t been announced, a report by 91mobiles suggests it will arrive in India between July 10th and 15th.

Should You Wait for It?
If you’re considering a foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 5 is worth keeping an eye on. It combines high-end specs, Zeiss-enhanced cameras, and a lightweight build at 226g, making it lighter than the OnePlus Open (245g). However, it uses the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Competition will be fierce — Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch on July 9th, featuring the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite for better performance. That may sway power users looking for cutting-edge performance.
